Perry is a native of Sleepy Eye with 30 years of service at First Security Bank and Agency. He and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Jamie and Jeff. Perry's hobbies include horse riding and driving, and gardening. He is a member of the St. Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus. Perry is also a member of the Sleepy Eye Saddle Club, Sleepy Eye Chamber of Commerce, and an ambassador for the chamber.
